Overview of Key Programs

Community Development

NAFFA’s Community Development program focuses on promoting and supporting the education, entrepreneurship, and social development of African immigrants, students, and refugees in the Pacific Northwest. Through workshops, mentorship programs, and community events, we aim to build strong, self-sufficient communities that thrive and contribute positively to society.

Education

Our Education program is dedicated to enhancing literacy and providing educational opportunities for African students. We promote literacy in Africa through the use of the ADLaM script and support students in the Pacific Northwest with scholarships and educational resources. Our goal is to empower individuals through education, fostering a brighter future for all.

Civic Engagement

NAFFA’s Civic Engagement program organizes workshops, such as “Know Your Rights,” and advocates for the rights of African immigrants and refugees. We encourage active participation in civic life and provide resources to help community members understand their rights and responsibilities. By fostering civic engagement, we aim to create a more inclusive and just society.

Health

Our Health program develops strategic partnerships with health centers in Africa and the US to support the health of underserved communities. We focus on health promotion, disease prevention, and improving access to healthcare through sports and other activities. Our initiatives aim to enhance the overall well-being of our community members.
